Srinagar / 24th August 2018 (KNO) : Chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed his grief and sorrow over the demise of veteran journalist and human rights defender Jenab Kuldeep Nayar who breathed his last yesterday in Delhi.

Terming Kuldeep Nayar as a brave solider of pen and fearless defender of human rights. Kuldeep Sahibs demise is a personal loss as he was a friend, well-wisher and always stood firm for defending the human rights of deprived and the oppressed.

JKLF chairman said that Nayyar also played his role in defending Human rights in Jammu Kashmir and always raised his voice against atrocities committed by Indian forces on Kashmiris for which he is remembered and honored in Jammu Kashmir. Expressing sympathies and solidarity with his bereaved family, JKLF chairman said that Kuldeep Nayyar stood for human rights of the oppressed and used his pen for the welfare of the destitute and so will always live in the hearts of the oppressed and destitute.

Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday (Eid Day) appealed for unity to defend state subject law which defines permanent residents of the state. Addressing thousands of people who had gathered for Eid Namaz at Jenab Sahib Soura, Yasin Malik Said Kashmiris will never accept any tinkering with the state subject law and will do anything to defend it. He said the people of the state will stay united to defend this law as it guarantees “our right to freedom and self-determination.”

“The people of Jammu and Kashmir are one on the issue of defending unique identity of their land and will spill blood to defend it,” said Yasin Malik. Emphasizing on the need for unity, he said: “Eid-e-Qurban teaches us sacrifice and striving for the righteous cause and we all should keep faith in One Allah and adhere to the teachings of his beloved prophet.”

JKLF Chairman also praised the valor of those in jails and termed them heroes of the nation. Besides JKLF chairman various leaders including District Presidents Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), Syed Nisar Jeelani, Javed Ahmad Butt and JKLF senior Professor Javed also addressed gatherings at various places. Meanwhile JKLF chairman today participated in a protest rally organized at Masjid I Imam I Zaman the Bund Srinagar against the attacks on state subject law.

JKLF chairman addressed the protestors and said that State subject law will be defended with valor and oneness by every Kashmiri.
